The club
More than a sport
Somerset College rowers learn to commit to something bigger than themselves. From first-time novices to senior crews racing at national level, every athlete is coached to row well, race hard and represent the college with pride.
- Discipline
- Early mornings, honest work and the habits that carry into the classroom and beyond.
- Teamwork
- Eight bodies, one rhythm. No-one wins alone in a rowing boat.
- Resilience
- Learning to push through the last 500 metres — and to come back stronger.
- Community
- Coaches, families and old rowers who turn up, help out and cheer every crew home.

Parents & supporters
The crew behind the crews
The Parents Rowing Committee gets boats, gazebos, food and families to every regatta. Rowing families find travel notes, accommodation offers and ways to help in the Parent Hub.
